On the site where Wells Fargo first opened for business in 1852, this museum features an original stagecoach, an impressive display of gold ore & gold dust. Exhibits include Wells Fargo's role in San Francisco history, from the "Sudden City" of the '49ers to the great earthquake of 1906, dealing with Black Bart and other stagecoach robbers and a special collection of Gold Rush letters carried by hundreds of express companies. Interactives include working telegraphs, simulated stagecoach ride, trivia treasure hunts, audio tour, clips of Wells Fargo in the movies, and more! Guided tours available by appointment.
