DHC/ART Fondation pour l’art contemporain est un nouveau lieu d’exposition situé au cœur du Vieux-Montréal dans un bâtiment historique rénové. DHC/ART, une fondation financée par des intérêts privés, est un nouveau lieu permanent consacré à la présentation d’expositions d’art contemporain stimulantes et pertinentes. Accessible et accueillante, avec une entrée libre et des heures d’ouverture souples, la Fondation constitue un ajout de taille à la vie culturelle de Montréal et s’impose comme un lieu privilégié de l’art contemporain.
Inaugurée à l’automne 2007, DHC/ART présente certaines œuvres parmi les plus engageantes de la scène artistique mondiale, tant sur place que dans divers lieux publics. DHC/ART vise également à favoriser la meilleure appréciation et compréhension possibles des œuvres qu’elle offre au regard des visiteurs. La Fondation présente trois à quatre expositions par année, qu’accompagne un programme dynamique de séances de visionnement de films et de discussions, ainsi qu’un programme d’éducation et de sensibilisation—le tout offert gratuitement au public. DHC/ART appuie activement la création d’œuvres contemporaines dans différentes techniques par le biais d’une commande ponctuelle confiée à un artiste canadien émergent ou établi.

DHC/ART Foundation for Contemporary Art is a new exhibition space housed in a renovated historic building in the heart of Old Montreal. A privately endowed foundation, DHC/ART is a new permanent location for exciting and relevant contemporary art exhibitions. Accessible and welcoming, with free admission and flexible opening hours, the foundation is an important addition to Montreal’s cultural life and a premiere venue for contemporary art.
Inaugurated in the Fall of 2007, DHC/ART presents some of the most compelling art from around the world, both on-site and in public spaces. DHC/ART is also committed to promoting a greater appreciation and understanding of the art it presents. The foundation presents three to four exhibitions per year, as well as, a dynamic program of film screenings and talks, and an inclusive education and outreach program all offered free of charge to the public. DHC/ART actively supports the production of contemporary art with commissions, in a variety of media, to established or emerging Canadian artists.
